Grow Lamb’s Ear, Garden Sage, Coriander and Parsley with Click & Grow!

We are thrilled to announce that 4 new plant cartridges are available for the Click & Grow smartpot. You can now effortlessly grow Lamb’s Ear, Garden Sage, Coriander and Parsley.

Lambs’ Ear

Click & Grow Lamb's Ear

Lamb's Ear (Stachys byzantine) is one of the most adorable plants out there and a favorite among young gardeners. The plant is a strong grower with an amazingly cute feature – the leaves are covered with soft and cuddly hair. This plant can survive in shadier spots and is very resistant to damage – if you tear out one stem, it will replace it with another.

Sprouts appear in one to two weeks and the plant grows to full size in four to five months. Lamb’s Ears and can live up to 18 months.

Fun fact: The name Lamb’s Ear is directly derived from the curved shaped leaves with white, soft, fur like hair coating which resemble lamb ears.

 

Garden Sage


Garden Sage (Salvia officinalis) has a long history of medicinal and culinary use. It has been used since ancient times for warding off evil, snakebites and increasing women's fertility. Talk about witchcraft!

As a kitchen herb, sage has a slight peppery flavor and can be used to spice up different meat dishes. Medicine today uses sage as an anti-sweating, antibiotic and antifungal agent.

The plant is a slow but steady grower and tolerates pruning and cutting – a perfect bonsai for beginners. The plant can live for up to 18 months, but some say that a sage plant never dies [again, witchcraft].

Fun fact: Garden Sage was one of the ingredients of Four Thieves Vinegar - a blend of herbs which was supposed to ward off the plague.

 

Coriander


Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) is a cooking cosmopolite – it is being used as a spice on every continent. All parts of the plant are edible and the plant possesses numerous healing powers. Coriander is known for lowering cholesterol levels, relieving acne and as a cure for anxiety and insomnia.

The plant is a very fast grower. Sprouts may appear as quickly as five days and the plant is ready for use in one to two months. Lifespan can be up to eight months and will end with the formation of seeds. The plant needs a lot of light to grow. Use only on a very sunny windowsill.

Fun Fact: In addition to its other health benefits, Coriander has also been documented as a traditional treatment for diabetes.


Parsley


Parsley (Petroselinum crispum) is one of the world's most popular herbs. As it’s highly nutritious, eating Parsley is a great and tasty way to provide vitamins for the body.

Parsley grows to full size in three to five months and can be used for culinary or medical purposes by two or three leaves at a time for several months. Lifespan on average is around six to eight months, but it could range up to 12 months when lighting conditions are good.

Fun fact: When chewed, parsley is believed to relieve bad breath.
